On Saturday, December 7, 2019, at 1:00 pm in all time zones, The Black Doll Affair self-esteem movement will host its 12th Annual Nationwide Black Doll (Barbie) Giveaways Across the USA!

Celebrating black queens, young and adult, tiny and tall, reigning and retired, living and deceased, you're invited to join The Black Doll Affair family for an empowering day of celebrating our blackness and being proud to be the black doll!

In Atlanta, Ga., the headquarters division of The Black Doll Affair (TBDA) self-esteem movement, Mama Doll, TBDA Founder and Theresa Tha Songbird, Queen of Ceremonies, Honorary Black Doll, and author of the viral poem, "You So Black", invite you and your baby dolls to a day of empowerment, sisterhood and a complimentary black Barbie.


1:00 PM Doors Open: Empowerment Christmas party social for women and girls.

1:45 PM: Martin Luther King representative welcome remarks.

1:50 PM - 2:00 PM Mama Doll's opening remarks and introduction of Theresa Tha Songbird.

2:00 PM - 2:10 PM: Theresa Tha Songbird welcome remarks and recites her poem: "You so Black".

2:10 PM - 2:30 -PM: Theresa tha Songbird's self-esteem children's books reading circle & baby doll discussion of hue they are.

Book 1: - "Shades of Black"a celebration of our children, by Sandra L. Pinkney. 2 minute read

Book 2: "Chocolate Me": by Honorary Black Doll Brothas Taye Diggs and Shane Evans. 2 minute read.

Harriet's Yellow Jacket - by Ambassadoll Analise Harris - 2:30 minute read.

2:30 PM - 3:00 PM. The Black Dolls line up for a Barbie doll giveaway and baby dolls go open and play.

3:00 PM: - 4:00 PM Guest Panel Discussion: *Queening in Self-esteem panel discussion.

Panel Guests:
- Theresa tha Songbird: Poet, Honorary Black Doll, Queen of Ceremonies
and author of the poem, "You so black!"

- Alandria Lloyd, author of "Dear Young Woman", a book of testimonies to overcoming trials.

- Brandi Jones, author of FEARLESS, the view from the fifty yard line an NFL cheerleaders story.

4pm event end and breakdown.

5pm event out.

6pm The Black Dolls after party at Mojave Restaurant. NO background check necessary for the after party. Join us for dinner and cocktails to celebrate our 12th annual doll delivery (December7th), The Black Doll Affair Day in Georgia (Dec. 12th) and The Black Doll Affair's birthday (Dec. 17th). Attire: Members of The Black Doll Affair are asked to wear their Black Doll /Brotha/ Porcelain Pal T-shirt. Members of the Community should wear clothing appropriate for a daytime Christmas party with children and families. Let the baby dolls get dolled up!
