🖤Welcome Anthony Anderson🖤This emotional creature is NOT “confused, bewildered, or lethargic😂.” With my floodgates of emotions opened, I am thrilled to announce that award-winning actor Anthony Anderson (Black-ish, Two Can Play That Game) is now an Honorary Black Doll Brotha! Anthony has joined The Black Doll Affair to help empower Black women and girls with fun and empowering Affairs through positive play! This is a monumental moment for The Black Doll Affair and a heartwarming moment for me. Having Anthony join us is right up there with me advising Mattel to put Barbie in an Afro (2016) and have Barbie talk about racism (2020) after George Floyd’s murder. Like The Cosby Show, Black-ish changed perceptions of Black families. These shows and their actors remind the world that Black people are NOT monoliths. For 17 years, The Black Doll Affair has been on a mission to change the way Black girls are perceived and, more importantly, how they perceive themselves. Inspired by the heartbreaking 2007 Doll Test results, where Black children identified Black dolls as bad, ugly, and least preferred, while attributing positive traits to identical white dolls, I founded this movement and called on people of all races to “become the Black Doll” by wearing Black Doll T-shirts and joining our Affairs. Along the way, we’ve accomplished so much:

✨ President Obama honored us with the Presidential Service Award.
✨ Governor Sonny Perdue declared Black Doll Affair Day (Dec. 12th) in Atlanta, Georgia.
✨ Congressman John Lewis celebrated us in Congress.
✨ We became Mattel’s largest consumer of Black Barbie dolls and proud partners with Mattel.
✨ I’ve placed so-called “everyday” Black women on the pages of Vogue magazine six times. Earlier this year, Anthony followed us on Instagram. I followed back and invited him to join our Dolling family. Now, he joins his Hollywood co-stars who are Honorary Dolls too: Misty Copeland, Taye Diggs, Gabrielle Union, and Danny Strong. Join us!
